BigBrain

Our high-resolution 3D model of a human brain based on 7404 tissue sections is the focus of the German-Canadian Helmholtz International Lab HIBALL. Together with our Canadian partners from CIFAR and MILA as well as from Helmholtz AI, we develop new deep learning methods and use supercomputing to analyze data in the petabyte range (Joint Lab SMHB).

siibra - Software interfaces for multilevel brain atlases

siibra is a software tool suite that implements an extensible and openly accessible brain atlas framework, which connects datasets from many different modalities and resources to brain regions defined in multiple reference spaces at the macroscopic and microscopic scale. The toolsuite supports different workflows, by providing an interactive 3D web viewer for interactive exploration (siibra-explorer[1]) as well as a comprehensive Python library for integration with computational data analysis and simulation workflows (siibra-python [2]).
