JUMPA

Goals:

JUMPA

Addressing the emerging challenges associated with LEC (e.g., local supply variability, decentralisation and multi-sector integration) by developing simulation, optimization, assessment and planning methodologies and tools that can make use of new intelligent ICT platforms, extensive monitoring, advanced control tools, and sophisticated end-to-end data processing

Contributions from IEK-10:

Definition of methodologies to coordinate in real-time across multiple energy carriers -including electrical, heating and gas grids- MES (as for example LEC or industrial sites). The goals is to answer the following questions:

• What kind of additional services can MES offer which will be useful to the future power grid?

• How can these ancillary services be provided to the power grid?

• How does the system stability of the grid change with these additional ancillary services?
