Company Bodies
The Partners' Meeting is the highest decision-making body of Forschungszentrum Jülich GmbH. It is composed of members representing the two partners: the Federal Republic of Germany and the federal state of North Rhine-Westphalia.
The Supervisory Board supervises the lawfulness, expedience and economic efficiency of management. It makes decisions on important research-related and financial issues of the company.

Contact
The Executive Board Office is the point of contact for all questions and issues concerning the Executive Board. It coordinates the coordination with the Supervisory Board and the General Assembly and acts as the central contact for ministries, science organisations and other institutions.
Committees of the Research Centre
The Scientific Advisory Council advises the Society on scientific and technical issues of fundamental importance. These include, for example, the strategy and planning of the Centre's research and development work, the promotion of optimal use of the research facilities or questions of cooperation with universities and other research institutions.
The committee consists of members who are not employees of the company. They are appointed by the Supervisory Board, as a rule for five years. The chairperson is a member of the supervisory board.

The Scientific and Technical Council (WTR) advises the Partners’ Meeting, the Supervisory Board and the Management Board on all issues associated with the strategic orientation of Forschungszentrum Jülich and on all scientific and technical issues of general importance. These include the key research objectives and tasks of Forschungszentrum Jülich, its contributions to research programmes, its organizational structure, and cooperations with universities and other research institutions.
The members of the Scientific and Technical Council are:
- the directors of the institutes.
- elected representatives of the scientific and technical employees of Forschungszentrum Jülich.
- one representative each of the universities with which joint professorial appointments have been made, nominated by the universities.
- a member of the Works Council or his/her deputy, both of them scientific or technical employees.
- other members, who need not be employees of Forschungszentrum Jülich.
WTR performs its duties in the form of:
- plenary sessions, usually convened three times per financial year,
- the Main Committee, which usually meets monthly,
- the chairman and his deputies,
- and, if applicable, further committees and working groups.
