Research Management (UE-F)
Research Management (UE-F) supports the Board of Directors and Forschungszentrum Jülich's institutes in matters relating to strategic orientation and the assessment of national and international developments. UE-F is responsible for the programmes within the framework of the Helmholtz Association's programme-oriented funding (PoF) and acts as a point of contact between internal and external research-based and administrative areas.
UE is thus a contact for
- specialized planning and strategy development processes of the Helmholtz Association and Forschungszentrum Jülich
- the contents of reports and the creation of specialized basic data
- the institutes' resource planning (in cooperation with F)
- support for review procedures
- support for appointment procedures
- ad hoc tasks in strategy and planning as well as application procedures with inter-institute strategic significance
Further areas of responsibility include:
- tracking, analysis, and evaluation of new scientific topics and developments in the research community
- coordination and development of the research objectives at the interface between Helmholtz committees or research fields, the Board of Directors, and institutes
- coordination within Forschungszentrum Jülich of matters related to the Helmholtz research fields
- coordination of PoF application and review procedures
- thematic implementation concepts for the long-term development of Forschungszentrum Jülich
- cooperation in national and international specialist and strategy committees
- coordination activities regarding selected interdisciplinary projects
