Neutron polarization analysis is a key technique in the technique of neutron scattering. JCNS develops and refines methods for generating high degrees of 3He polarization.

Detectors form a key component for the instruments in neutron scattering. JCNS commissions and maintains the detectors used by JCNS in the main neutron facilities worldwide in order to ensure a high standard and reproducibility of the measurements. At the same time new concepts for neutron detection are developed.

JNCS develops and maintains dedicated data-analysis software for neutron scattering and coordinates the standardization of data formats. We support scientists in all questions related to data analysis.
