Interview on his ERC Advanced Grants with Prof. Dr. Hans Ströher
Prof. Hans Ströher, director at Jülich’s Nuclear Physics Institute (IKP), was awarded two subsequent Advanced Grants by the European Research Council (ERC) in 2010 and 2016. The ERC is thus funding Ströher’s research into finding the electric dipole moments (EDMs) of the elementary building blocks of matter – and therefore the very foundation of our universe’s existence.

Record spin coherence time in COSY
The JEDI Collaboration has achieved a new record of more than 1000s for the spin coherence time of polarized deuterons, i.e. the time the spin vectors of a large ensemble of polarized can be kept aligned.

ERC Advanced Grant “srEDM” for Hans Ströher
Prof. Hans Ströher, Director ofIKP-2, has received an Advanced Grant of the European Research Council (ERC).With that grant the ERC is financing Hans Ströher‘s research on the search for electric dipole moments (EDMs) of fundamental particles as a basic ingredient to the answer why our universe exists. The funding is about 2.4 Mio. Euro over the next five years.
