Self-healing elastomers

Self-healing elastomers
Elastomers with an intrinsic and repeated healability are of technological importance and require better understanding of the shear rate-dependent performance of dynamically crosslinked elastomers. In this context, we investigate structure and rheological properties, and we quantify the self-healing properties of the materials. Innovative aspects are in particular the investigation of mechanochemical and remote-controlled activation of the healing effect.
