Data Migration (HSM)
TSM-HSM (Hierarchical Storage Management) is used for data migration at JSC. Data migration is the process of moving data that is not used for a defined time from high level storage e.g. disk to low level storage e.g. tape and leaving a stub file in the Unix file system for data management commands. Data is recalled automatically on data access.
