2016 Braunschweig Research Prize Awarded to Battery Researcher Martin Winter

Jülich, 25 November 2016 – Prof. Martin Winter is the recipient of the 2016 Braunschweig Research Prize. The prize honours the chemist and materials researcher’s outstanding achievements in the field of battery technology and materials science. The 51-year-old heads the Helmholtz Institute Münster (HI MS) – a branch office of Forschungszentrum Jülich – as well as the MEET battery research centre of Münster University. The prize – which is endowed with € 30,000 – will be officially awarded at Staatstheater Braunschweig on 9 December.
