Enriching Encounters and Collaborations: Our Journey at the Silicon Quantum Electronics Workshop in Kyoto

Exciting times have come to an end! Our colleagues just concluded the Silicon Quantum Electronics Workshop in Kyoto, Japan.

The Silicon Quantum Electronics Workshop is a series of workshops focusing on silicon-based approaches to quantum electronics. The 2023 edition (SiQEW 2023) was held Oct. 31 - Nov. 2, 2023 at the International Conference Center Kyoto. Lammert Duipmans, Patrick Vliex, Dennis Nielinger and Stefan van Waasen (Director of the ZEA-2 Institute) attended the SiQEW 2023.

One real highlight of the trip was the visit at the Institute of Scientific and Industrial Research Osaka University (Sanken) the days before. After a warm welcome from Prof. Tohru Sekino (Director of SANKEN) our meetings with Prof. Akira Oiwa and Associate Professor Takafumi Fujita were incredibly fruitful, sparking new ideas and collaborations. We express our heartfelt gratitude for your warm hospitality and kind welcome.
